Manoora made 24 trips between September 1945 and December 1947, returning Australian troops from Singapore, the Dutch East Indies, India and Japan.

A number of 2/30 Battalion members were first transferred to Labuan, by Air or on board Manunda, which departed Singapore on 13/9/1945. At Labuan, they were admitted to either the 2/4 AGH or 2/6 AGH for treatment. When they were well enough to travel, they embarked on Manoora on 3/10/1945 for the return to Australia.

According to the Service Record of NX27259 - Sgt. Frederick Joseph BLADWELL, he left Labuan on Manoora, on 3/10/1945 and disembarked in Sydney on 13/10/1945, but the ship name on arrival is not stated. However, in "Across the Sea to War", pg 439, notes that Manoora arrived in Brisbane on 15/10/1945. This date is also shown in the Service Record of QX18697 - Pte. Charles William COGGINS. The Service Record of NX47481 - Pte. Kenneth John GAY lists him as disembarking at Sydney on 16/10/1945.
