The march to
Changi
On 17/2/1942,
two days after the surrender, the Battalion, together with all other
British and Australian troops, moved off by foot from their final
defensive perimeter around Tanglin Barracks, to and headed for the Prisoner of War
Camp at Selerang Barracks, Changi.
The 14 hour journey covered a distance of approximately 16 miles, and
the route taken was as follows:
