2/30 Battalion Association notes:
"Cappy" Bligh was attached as the Armourer to the 2/30 Battalion at Tamworth, NSW in 1940. He transferred to a training unit, and was attached to "Emu Force", 53 Bn on 23/12/1941. "Cappy" sailed for New Guinea, on 27/12/1941, and while in New Guinea he transferred to the AIF (Army Number NX150879). He returned to Australia on 11/1/1943 and was posted to HQ NT Force. He was discharged on 15/7/1948.
