• History of the Gemas Memorial and a message from the CO of 2/30 Training Group Butterworth

• Guest Speaker, Andrew Olrich, presents an account of the Battle of Gemas and the list of soldiers killed in action at the Battle

• A tribute to L/Sgt Athol Nagle, first man killed in action at the Battle of Gemas, from John Grounds (as read by Greg Allardice)

  • Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial (to be added when available)

• NSW Scottish Regimental Association Piper plays The Lament

• Members form up for the parade as the 2/17 Parade Commander takes over, and gives the order for the Bugler to sound fall in

• The Pipes and Drums play Waltzing Matilda, as the parade marches around the parade ground and conducts eyes right as they pass the Gemas Memorial

• The Last Post and The Soldiers Prayer

• Air League Contingent march on to the parade ground and form the Catafalque party around the memorial stone and flag poles

• MC gives the order for wreath laying to commence, and reads the names of each wreath layer

• The Ode is recited by the MC and The Last Post is sounded by the Bugler - a minutes silence - Rouse and the Australian Flag is raised by the 2/17 Flag Orderly, followed by the Australian National Anthem

• The Guard Commander gives the order for the Air League Catafalque party to march off the parade ground followed by closing remarks from the MC
