When is Gemas Day?

• Ceremony begins at 11am (please arrive by 10:45am)

• The memorial ceremony for the 83rd anniversary of the Battle of Gemas, will be held on Sunday January 12th from 11am at Suakin Barracks, Suakin Street. Pymble. NSW.

Where is it held?

• 2/17 Battalion, Royal NSW Regiment Depot (Suakin Barracks), 2 Suakin Street, Pymble

• From Ryde Road, turn left into West Street, continue straight ahead into Suakin Street, and go to top of the rise.

• Please park in the area indicated by the 2/17 Bn. Guides on duty.

Why is it important?

• The next Gemas Day ceremony will commemorate the 83rd anninversary of the ambush at Gemencheh Bridge on 14 January 1942 and the action near Gemas the following day
