Information: Enlisted as Leigh Kevin DAWSON; by Statutory Declaration assumed name of Keneth Clifton MOLDE; taken on strength with 2/30 Bn at Causeway on 2/2/1942; rejoined Unit ex AGH (compound fracture of right humerus) on 27/4/1942; marched out and embarked with "B" Force (2/10 Field Regiment) on 8/7/1942; died of illness (physical exhaustion) Doi Sandakan on 14/2/1945; listed in NAA A8234/50 as one of a group of 4 POWs who escaped from Telupid, Borneo, whilst on 1st Sandakan death march, and later died at Uli Kemansi (Emansi); others in the group were NX34384 - Gnr. E.J. FULLER, 2/15 Fld. Regt. (Australian), and 643141 - LAC. H. BEARDSHAW, RAF 84 Sqn., and 842317 - Gnr. B. ROBERTS, RA 21 LAA Regt. (British)
