Welcome Black Jack and The Greyhounds

A group of 2/30 Bn. veterans, relatives and friends on board a small launch on Sydney Harbour to welcome home other Battalion members who had returned to Australia on board Esperance Bay.

Two of the group are holding a banner made by Roy Chipps - "Welcome Black Jack and The Greyhounds". Roy was the father of NX24742 - Pte. Ron CHIPPS, who had returned to Australia a few weeks earlier on board the hospital ship, Oranje.
