A Family of Australian Evans (1820-1997): Snow (top left), Walter Bell (bottom left), Ron Gibbs (centre), Bob Gibbs (bottom right) and Bill Atkinson (top right). These men were all good mates of Snow's from out near Come-by-Chance. They all joined up at the same time. Walter and Bob went to Malaya with the 8th Division and were killed. Bill also went to Malaya and became a P.O.W. on the infamous Burma Railway.
